Matt Kuchar wins PGA Tour money title
Behind the most consistent season of his career, Matt Kuchar won the PGA Tour money title on Sunday as the season officially came to a close after the Children's Miracle Network Classic.

led the tour in top-10 finishes (11) and earned more money in 2010
($4,910,477) than he did in his previous four seasons combined
($4,853,274). He is also just the third player in the Tiger Woods era to win a PGA Tour money title.
For winning the money title, the Georgia Tech product claims the Arnold Palmer Award. He also took home the Byron Nelson Award for low adjusted scoring average (69.61) over Steve Stricker (69.66).
"For
me to go from a guy that just wanted to keep his card a few years ago,
to winning the Byron Nelson and Arnold Palmer Awards, along with a
chance to win the FedExCup, is pretty overwhelming," Kuchar said in a
statement.
So how do you improve on the career year?
"It
will be tough to follow this year up," Kuchar said. "You can go out and
shoot a 62, but it's hard to follow up that 62 the next day with
another great round. That's how I'm looking at next year. It will be
quite a challenge."
Kuchar earned a five-year PGA Tour exemption through 2015 for winning the money title.
Kuchar's
next official PGA Tour event will likely be the Hyundai Tournament of
Champions in January. The tournament is reserved for winners from the
previous season. He qualified for the event after capturing the
Barclays in a playoff in August.
